AT THE START OF LAST SEMESTER, TAFE BEGAN A NEW PROGRAM AT SCAS -

ADVANCED DIPLOMA OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (INTERNATIONAL)

The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills of business functions in International Organisations.

The program of learning covers:

·        generic business skills such as business mathematics and statistics, producing documents, using databases and spreadsheets 

·        people management skills such as developing work priorities, promoting innovation and change, managing people performance, managing recruitment/selection, promoting team effectiveness, building international client relationships, international management and leadership

·        international issues, such as economics, international logistics, international trade finance, organisational design/development, marketing principles and the marketing mix

·        business and strategic planning

·        developing and managing budgets and financial plans, managing business resources, managing operational plans and managing organisational risk.

Upon completion of Certificate III in English and three semesters of Business Studies, students will undertake a fourth semester of practical skills and a nine-week Business Internship.
